Playing With Myself

Hello there world! You made it to August 3, 2020 and that is a good thing! Today is the first day that I turned the TV off and just needed to get lost in something, anything. Currently, I am looking for clips of Hubby while he played and this has lead to many other photos and videos that I had forgot about. Here is the first edit as there are things I need to trim and also adjust the transitions as some of them flash by too quickly and I also need to work on the audio and adding Hubby’s music for the intro. Who knew it would take this many steps? Not me obviously.

This is edit one. I need to chop 47 seconds off of this video as I want to keep the videos to less than 5 minutes.

So, the format will probably change as you can do an interview anywhere. Next one I will sit down and have a one on one with him and also want to capture him playing guitar. Speaking of that, I do have a sample of him rocking out in our living room after the “Every Man” shoot. Don’t remember that one? Let me refresh your memory cause I was in dire need of laughter and Hubby brought it!

I know, I need better lighting!

Here are a few of the shots from that day and I am still waiting for the right inspiration to finish the edits.

I am sure that I am doing everything wrong and will start getting emails and pop-up ads beseeching me to buy into their program so I can learn how to put on a well polished blog, vlog, info video what ever. I am not interested in any of that. What I have questions on I will research and take test runs, like the video above because making mistakes and fixing errors is a great way to learn and discover new talents and such. At least, that is what I think about that subject. It took me almost three years to figure out how to use adjustment layers in Photoshop, now I love editing as before it was not something I enjoyed. Now the challenge is editing video but I will get it just as I have self-taught myself many things. Like my Dad used to say, “The Lord helps those that help themselves…” or something to that affect. So, this is what I am doing, helping myself.

Oh here is a little music break from the classic rock cover band Ghost of Kelso as recorded by their groupie, ME.

Yes, there can be too much cowbell…ugh!!!

I added the above video as I have been looking through old cards for original files so that I my add them to the project and I just keep stopping to look at the old photos and remember the good times that I had behind the eye piece usually tapping my foot till I got my rhythm going and would shoot photos of any of the many entertainer I have captured while they are performing. Each time I go back and look at old cards, I can always find something that I had forgotten. Funny, but I just realized that putting together these videos also tells my story as well.

Hopefully, I can find others that will be willing to share their photos (stories) of themselves, like a photo album or like I mentioned before, to leave the future a little bit of you in your voice. I know I should do one for me but I figure the blog and my words are just another photo but using a different form of media, that is all. Fingers crossed that I get a volunteer!

What stories would you share? Would you show off your art work or new music or perhaps your favorite cookie recipe? What would leave as a photo of you?

Thank you dear reader for the visit and hope to see you around these parts again. Where ever you are may you have a joyful day filled with peace. Hugs to you and you and especially You over there, I see you! Be safe and well.

  1. Your videos are great, and Hubby is quite the guitarist. I like your photos too, and see a few that were taken in Kelso. That’s an interesting little spot in the middle of the Mojave Desert.

    1. Thank you so much for the feedback! Yeah, he really is, I thought he only played guitar until a few years, really. My bad.
That was Kelso! We stopped there so I could get a few background shots for future band photos as their bnd is the Ghosts of Kelso…
Have a great day and hope your knee is getting better 🙂
