The Eyes Have It

It happened!  My photo shoot was yesterday!  It was the most fun I think I have had on the other side of the camera. How liberating it was, really.  Honestly, a few of the shots are for hubby, can’t wait to see those!  I even looked up an old ANTM for tips.  Can you say “smize”?  My photographer is amazing and I am so glad I met her!  I am sure when she is ready to show me her work I will be blown away.  It’s good as a photographer to experience that side of the shoot.  To know what the subjects are feeling when we are directing them to act natural or stare into the sun or “camera left”.  Also, my idea has wings and it’s a go.  So with that I can start working on it and picking out my best from the past year.  What will make it, who’s stories will I include on my journey there are so many characters in this ever evolving story that is my life.  Speaking with Dani, my photog, she has that wonder that I do when she taking photos and because of this I totally trust what ever she does with my photos.  She is not just doing a job, she is an artist.  Like I have said before, I am pretty good at getting a sense of peoples characters and so far so good.  Thank you Universe, I don’t believe in coincidences.

Funny but the music may have swayed my mood, Natalie Merchant and her haunting vocals and the effective use of string and piano in I May Know the Way.

If I’m on my knees, I’m begging now
If I’m on my knees gropin’ in the dark
I’d be praying for deliverance
From the night into the day

But it’s all grey here
It’s all grey here
But it’s all grey to me

The bass line is what gets me.  It’s drawing me in and made me look up the words and more info on the song.  Natalie is another go-to for me when I need divine intervention and calm.  Looking at the lyrics, it’s not all grey, yesterday, it was all red, orange and yellow! Ooops, still on the high from yesterday and still dreaming…

Have a colorful day where ever you are and hope to see you around these parts again.
