Putting one foot in front of the other…can I do this? This is the hardest part. Trying to make a habit stick. Writing does not come naturally to me. It should, like breathing, right, but doesn’t. There is so much that I think about during the course of the day that I want to talk about but when I sit down in front of the computer my fingers become frozen. Why is this? Going back to yesterdays blog, I have been taking photos of bands here in the Coachella Valley. Mainly, I have been photographing the band Ghosts of Kelso. They are a four piece, classic rock cover band. My husband, Jim Keena, plays bass in the band and I get to tag along and take photos and update the band website. I feel like part of the band even though I know that I am not. I try to stay out of all the official band business as I do not want to be a Yoko Ono. Who wants to be labeled that. right? Most of my Instagram photos revolve around them. They honestly need their own Instagram account. Guys, are ya’ listening??? Oh yeah, back to my blog…September 24, 2016 was the first time Jim played with the Ghosts so technically, this is an anniversary post! So, it has been two years that I have been tagging along with them. I have shot thousands of pictures. Shot videos and we just launched a Youtube channel devoted just to the Ghosts. I will start to move the video to that channel as soon as I figure out how. I am still a newbie and a little slow on the technology. I have not gone pro on this site either and have not decided to activate fully and give them my credit card info so that I can upload videos to this site. I just want to see how many subscribers I can gain naturally (not by begging my friends and family) before I do. I know I seem cynical but I have just been on Instagram for a year and have encountered so many “follow for follows” and people that ask you to like their stuff so they like your stuff only for them to disappear. This is why I really don’t push my self other than hashtags. I really just want to help get the band that I am photographing get recognition, that is all.
Guess I had a little more to say than I thought. Oh yeah, and one more thing. Come on America, make NFL free again! Football belongs to the people not to the select, the few that can afford it!
